Pukkalini Love Potion

  • 3 persons
  • 10 minutes

A special heart-warming drink to enjoy when celebrating with your loved ones. Recipe as seen as a ‘Pukkalini’ in Pukka’s Co-Founder, Sebastian Pole’s, book, Cleanse Nurture Restore. Roses have a long traditional use for supporting the heart, and women’s health especially. Pomegranate fruit also has an affinity with the heart, and is revered in many folk traditions as being an aphrodisiac.

Tip for the doshas:

Rose is a soothing herb for all three dosha types, and pomegranate is especially good for cooling and calming pitta dosha. Sparkling drinks can be a little aggravating for vata types experiencing bloating and wind, so you could top up with still water or white wine instead.

What you need:

  • 3 Pukka Love tea bags

  • 150 ml of pomegranate juice - 50ml per glass

  • Rose water (optional) 1 tsp per glass

  • Fresh rose petal (optional) 1 per glass

  • Champagne, prosecco or sparkling water if you’d prefer a mocktail (enough to top each glass)

item

How to make:

  • Cover the tea bags with 250ml boiling water. Leave to infuse for 30 minutes in a covered container

  • When ready to serve, put in a glass 50 ml of Love tea and 50ml of pomegranate juice
