Pukka wins third prestigious sustainability award

15th July 2015

We are delighted to have won another important award that demonstrates our commitment to sustainability.

The 2degrees Awards are widely recognised as the ultimate recognition for businesses driving innovation and pushing the boundaries of sustainable business practices. So the win – our third – is an incredible achievement.

The award was for our corporate reporting, particularly around our pioneering work with the Responsible 100, an external body that helps organisations prove (rather than just claim) to be responsible.

Responsible 100 identifies and supports transparency in business by requiring companies to report on key responsibility issues which are then open to public scrutiny. Pukka has to report on how we source our materials, our charitable giving, how we treat our staff, fair trading, tax transparency as well as a range of other questions to demonstrate how responsible we are. If you visit the Responsible 100 web site you’ll see we’re number one with by far the highest score of any other company on the list.

We’re thrilled to have won such a prestigious accolade and it’s wonderful to celebrate all the hard work we do to ensure that we take a responsible and fully accountable approach to the way we do business. However, our sustainability work doesn’t stop here. As an organisation that has people, plants and planet at its heart, we know we can always do more to improve. And we also are committed to helping other businesses including our suppliers with their own journeys to become more sustainable too.
